Republicans Waiting for Redistricting to Name Grendell Replacement
New map due by Oct. 1

The Ohio Senate Republican Caucus will name a replacement for Tim Grendell after new boundaries are created.
Grendell, who had represented the Ohio Senate 18th District, was recently appointed judge of Geauga County Juvenile and Probate Court.
Ohio legislators are in the process of mapping new districts, which is done every 10 years. The new map is due by Oct. 1, so Republicans will wait until after then to name a replacement for Grendell, according to 18th District Administrative Aide Elizabeth M. Lust.
The 18th Ohio Senate District covers Geauga and Lake counties and part of Cuyahoga County, including , , and part of .
