Thefts Reported at Ulta, Staples & CVS: Mayfield Heights Police Blotter

The following information was provided by the Mayfield Heights Police Department.

Incidents reported Aug. 20-21:

Stealing on camera: A manager at Ulta Beauty called Mayfield Heights Police at 3:34 p.m. Aug. 20 to report a theft that took place two days prior.

The manager said a woman took an unspecified amount of items from the back of the store. She was also seen on video stealing the items.

Man arrested for stealing from Staples: A manager at Staples called at 8:25 p.m. the same night about a man who left the store with a few Apple products.

Store employees saw him get into a blue car and head east on Mayfield Road before driving north on Lander Road. Highland Heights Police used the provided description of the car with a missing hubcap and damaged rear to catch up to the man once he entered their city. Mayfield Police arrested him for the theft.

Wine theft: An employee at CVS, 5901 Mayfield Road, called Mayfield Heights Police at 7:50 p.m. after a young man was seen putting wine bottles into a blue sports bag.

Police detained him within 10 minutes, according to a call log.
