Water Main Break Could Disrupt East Side Traffic
Early Wednesday morning saw a water main break on Mayfield Road. It's still unclear when the road will be totally open for drivers.

MAYFIELD HEIGHTS, OH — A water main break on Mayfield Road in Gates Mills has caused a tidal wave of traffic congestion throughout parts of the east side. Now, local police are warning commuters to expect delays along SOM Center Road while crews work on the break.
"The west bound traffic coming up from Gates Mills is closed (Mayfield Rd.) due to a water main break. Hopefully this will be cleared out before the weekend. Expect delays on SOM Center in both directions as our friends from the east detour to get back to Mayfield Rd," the Mayfield Heights Police Department said on Facebook.
The water main break happened early on Wednesday morning, according to Fox 8. Cleveland Water dispatched crews to manage the situation, but it's unclear when the road will be re-opened to traffic. Mayfield Heights Police are clearly hoping things will get better by Saturday.
