Mayfield Middle School students support cancer patients

Seventh-graders at Mayfield Middle School donated hair and received buzz cuts in support of cancer patients as part of the Beautiful Lengths project. Teacher Adam Yasenosky started the annual event four years ago as a tribute to his mother, who died of cancer.

Police appointments announced in Highland Heights

Mayor Scott Coleman swore in Joseph Stella, who was promoted to sergeant to fill the vacancy created by the retirement of Detective Gary McKee. Andrew Lessick was also hired as a full-time patrolman.

Mayfield Village Council reverses zoning board decisions

Mayfield Village Council members voted to reverse Board of Zoning Appeals decisions regarding a Meadowood Drive property. A woodshed was allowed, while a variance was denied for a 645-square-foot garage that had received $125,000 in improvements.

Hillcrest Hospital hosts district art show

Viewfinder has lots of pictures from the Mayfield City School District's 10th annual exhibit, A Decade of Art, which runs through May 6 at Hillcrest Hospital.
