Cruise Night in Mayfield Village
Mayfield Village has its annual Cruise Night, with a Fabulous '50s theme. Viewfinder captured all the classic cars in photos.
Estate taxes to pay for gazebo
Highland Heights City Council needed to find more money than the $50,000 budgeted for the gazebo. Costs of the gazebo and site preparation were estimated to be more than $80,000. But the city received a payment of $90,000 in estate taxes that can be used for the project.
Mayfield Heights councilman dies
David Sasak, a councilman since 2006, died on June 13. Before joining council, he had served on the Planning Commission and Mayor's Advisory Board.
Highland Heights flood plain updated
The Federal Emergency Management Agency revised its flood plain map for Highland Heights, taking several homes out of the 100-year flood plan and allowing those homeowners to cancel flood insurance. City officials are still working to revise the map in relation to another stream in hopes of removing even more homes from the flood plain.
