Highland Heights saves $596,000 in bond interest

The timely sale of bonds will save the city of $596,000 in debt interest by combining debt into an issue with a 2.5 percent rate. The $5.1 million total debt was for various projects from the 1990s.

Mayfield Heights takes bids for energy conservation projects

plans to install new lighting, heating and other energy-saving equipment with a $436,000 grant. Bids will be sought soon, with work likely to start in early 2012.
