When Is Mayfield High School's 2013 Prom?

The night to remember is almost here.

Mayfield High School's 2013 Prom is at 6 p.m. May 18 at the American-Croatian Lodge, 34900 Lake Shore Blvd., in Willoughby. Tickets will go on sale beginning May 1 during lunch periods at school.

If past history holds true, tickets will cost $50 for individuals or $100 per couple. According to the district's website, After Prom tickets will also be sold at that time at $15 per ticket.

After Prom is from midnight to 3:30 a.m. at Mayfield High School. This year's theme is "Music Mania" and will include inflatables, a casino night, prizes, and entertainment.

Here are a few Prom and After Prom guidelines from Mayfield's 2012-2013 Student Handbook

• Students may be required to show school identification to enter.

• Students in 9th and 10th grades are not permitted to attend Prom unless invited by a junior or senior.

• All attendees at any dance, prom, or social event must be under the age of 21. Non-Mayfield students must fill out an application to attend and be approved by the principal or his designee.

• Students enrolled in other districts or Excel TECC programs may attend only if escorted by a Mayfield student and approved by the principal or his designee.

• All attendees to any dance, prom, or social event who engage in simulated sexual acts will be removed from the event without refund of admission price.
• Prom king and queen nomination forms are sent to all junior and senior homerooms, and every junior and senior is asked to nominate, at most, three boys and three girls from the senior class for king and queen. The two seniors receiving the most votes will be announced as king and queen on Prom night.
