Mentor City Council Reorganizes, Welcomes New Board Members
Mentor City Council announced its appointments to boards and committees this week.

MENTOR, OH — Mentor City Council swore-in members and reorganized its boards and committees this week.
City Law Director Joseph P. Szeman swore-in re-elected councilpersons Janet Dowling, Scott Marn, and Ray Kirchner on Tuesday.
Ward 2 Councilperson Matthew Donovan was elected president-of-council. Marn became vice-president. Both will serve two-year terms in their respective roles.

Mark Freeman was nominated and approved to fulfill the term of Ward 3 councilperson Bruce Landeg. Landeg retired as chief deputy engineer with Lake County and moved out-of-state to be closer to family.

Mentor Board of Building and Zoning Appeals —Lisa Marinelli, Joseph Primiano, and Christopher Green were appointed for terms expiring December 31, 2025.
Mentor Municipal Planning Commission — Brian Cook, Richard Thiedemann, John Crocker, and Riley Small were appointed for terms expiring December 31, 2025.
Mentor Civil Service Commission — Daniel Llewellyn and Diane Pauley were appointed to the for terms expiring December 31, 2025.
Community Arts Commission — Renee Augusta, Jacqueline Sajewski, Susan Paternelj, Jean Reilly, Marilyn Repasky, Mary Stewart, John Troxell, and Renee Sanzo were appointed for terms expiring December 31, 2024.
Fair Housing Board — Alan Gephardt was appointed for a term expiring December 31, 2024.
Income Tax Board of Review — Stephen Ammerman and John Aten were appointed for terms expiring December 31, 2023.
Mentor Tree Commission — Louise Mills was appointed for a term expiring on December 31, 2025.
Finally, members of Council approved recommendation to Lake County Commissioners for the appointment of Ron Wassum to fulfill the term of Mark Freeman on the Lake Development Authority Board of Directors.
