Mentor Public Schools will be closed on Tuesday, Oct. 30 because of the severe weather, according to the district's web site.
Rain and high winds battered Northeast Ohio in the wake of Hurricane Sandy, which hit the U.S. east coast late Monday.
 Many Mentor residents were without power Monday night. Trick or treat hours on Wednesday also have been rescheduled to Sunday.
