Mentor Senior Center Flash Back to the 60s

The Senior Center enhances Mentor’s 50^th Anniversary Celebration with spectacular live entertainment highlighting the music and comedy of the 1960’s.

“You can step back in time and enjoy an evening of great memories. The superb cast will perform some of the unforgettable hits and comedy acts of the era,” Frank Krupa, the show’s creator and producer, said in a media release.

Director, Jim Zofchak, likes the diversity of the 60’s pop culture music. 

“It’s incredible, the top hits ranged from songs by Henry Mancini to the Beatles and Bobby Vinton to the Limbo.” Zofchak also stated, “….and how about TV?  Everything from the Ed Sullivan Show to The Beverly Hillbillies and The Dick Van Dyke Show.”

Nick Standering, Mentor Senior Center Recreation Coordinator said “The show will have the same scope and broad-base appeal of Krupa’s popular Hollywood-themed productions and dinner theatres. 

The blend of music, comedy and dancing seems to appeal to everyone.”  Some of the entertainers from Frank’s “Las Vegas Sizzle” are cast to appear in his 60’s Flashback. Nicky Bucar, Erika Acquaviva, Jeanette Cox and Dianne Vanas are part of the large cast.

Three audience participation segments are included in the Flashback Show. There will be a 60’s Name That Tune contest, a 60’s show biz quiz and a 60’s entertainer look alike/dress alike contest. Prizes will be awarded to the winners. Refreshments and commemorative program included.

This fabulous event will be held on Friday, June 7 from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Mentor Senior Center, 8484 Munson Rd., Mentor, Ohio. Ticket cost is $6 if purchased before May 31, $8 after May 31.
