Berea Brings New Police Officers Aboard

Officers Nicholas Huskins and Eric Smith were sworn in by Berea Mayor Cyril Kleem in the Pavilion at Coe Lake.

The City of Berea's police department got a little bit bigger on Tuesday.

Cleveland.com reports that Officer Huskins has experience as a police officer in Wakeman, Ohio and a graduate of the law enforcement program at Cuyahoga Community College.

Officer Smith is a graduate of the Cleveland Heights Police Academy.

Firearms and self defense training are next on the schedule for these new Berea police officers after a field training officer is assigned said Police Chief Joe Grecol.
