15 Cats Still Need Homes After Rescue From Abandoned Trailer Park

A local rescue group recently saved 21 cats from the abandoned Evergreen Mobile Home Park, and a majority of them are still up for adoption

It's not easy adopting out a couple cats, let alone 21.

Jill Kirsch knows this firsthand.

The founder of Cripple Creek Ferals and Friends recently and was able to adopt out six. But she's hit a standstill with the rest (four kittens and 11 adult cats).

"The challenge is finding people, because everybody has cats and the people that are actively looking for new cats are few and far between," she said.

Kirsch saved the animals after Evergreen Mobile Home Park residents were forced to move out of the park to .

Kirsch said if North Canton Patch readers aren't able to adopt a cat, she hopes they consider donating gift cards or food to help feed them.
