Heidi Nudo and Darlene Pryse Named Educators of the Month for January 2012

The , Westfield Bank and Starbucks congratulate Educational Assistants Heidi Nudo and Darlene Pryse, January’s “Educator of the Month” award winners. The monthly award honors North Canton City Schools staff members who exemplify excellence in education in their interaction with students, parents and other staff members. .

During the course of the 2011-2012 award cycle persons from each of the district’s seven buildings will be honored. Previous winners include HHS mathematics teacher Carol Couch, science teacher Darlene Howald of the Middle School and teacher Laura Luikart from the EarlyChildhood Center. The Chamber has partnered with Westfield Bank and the Washington Square Starbucks on the project. Each monthly winner receives a plaque and a Starbucks gift basket, which includes a copy of CEO Howard Schultz’ "Onward" book. Schultz initiated Starbucks’ “Empowering Educators” program to highlight educators and school systems making a difference in the lives of their students and communities.
