
In observance of , banners featuring the Six Pillars of Character — Trustworthiness, Respect, Responsibility, Fairness, Caring, Citizenship — hang from lamp posts on North Canton’s Main Street, in front of and the .
The banners were designed and purchased by , a group organized in 2009 with the goal of creating a community where everyone joins together to embrace the pillars of good character as a way of life. Participants include representatives of the North Canton City Schools, the North Canton Community Building YMCA, St. Paul Catholic Church, , the , the city government, the North Canton Jaycees, students, parents and retirees. Robert Roden is the organization’s current chair.
