Valentine's Day is a Day of Surprises at Akron-Canton Airport

Just how much does Akron-Canton Airport (CAK) love its Customers? How about enough to dedicate an entire day of love to them during our Customer Appreciation Day today – on Valentine’s Day. It’s all because we love our Customers and they love us right back.

Our CAK Thank You Crew will be in the main atrium all day long with free Caribou® coffee (courtesy of MSE Branded Foods), Cinnabon® minis in the morning and cupcakes in the afternoon for every customer. Everyone who flies into/out of the airport today will take home something cool.

And the lucky Customers on the first arriving flight of the day will get a special gift at the Delta Air Lines baggage claim – a personalized box of Fanny May® chocolates coming off the baggage belt right before their luggage.

“Our Customers have stuck with us through thick and thin,” said Rick McQueen, president and CEO. “We are so grateful that more and more travelers are choosing us. This is one way to express our appreciation for their business.”

What else can Akron-Canton Airport customers expect today? Carnations will be given out to passengers arriving at CAK. Other surprises include a drawing for a $500 gift card on Frontier Airlines. Our parking lot partner, Standard Parking, will give every customer a window scraper as they exit the parking lot or ride the shuttle to the main terminal. Other raffles include donations from Gervasi Vineyards, Hilton Garden Inn, Cambria Suites, Bistro of Green, Hertz Rental Car, the Pro Football Hall of Fame and Akron Aeros.

As a way to give back to the community, CAK is partnering with the American Red Cross. Volunteers will be demonstrating CPR techniques from 11-4 p.m. After all, learning about protecting your heart on Valentine’s Day, is the best gift CAK can give. Plus, the airport will donate $1,250 to the American Red Cross to support disaster relief right here in Stark and Summit Counties. You can follow the Customer Love at CAK all day long on the airport’s Twitter @CAKairport.
