Walsh Jewish/Catholic Institute Presents Lecture Series

The Jewish/Catholic Studies Institute presents a unique adult education opportunity in a “Town and Gown” setting. The community is invited to share in six evening sessions as part of a regular Walsh Theology Division course entitled “Conscience: The Voice of God.” The six Tuesday evenings will feature Walsh faculty and members of the community addressing the structure, philosophy, formation and application of Conscience.

The evening classes are open to the public without charge and will be held in the Barrette Business and Community Center on the main campus of Walsh University. Each class will begin at 7 p.m. and conclude at 8:30 p.m. The community is invited to attend one or more of the sessions. Community participants wishing to order the textbooks for the course may do so through the Walsh University Bookstore. A limited number of copies will be available for sale at the evening sessions. Texts includeConscience: The Duty to Obey and the Duty to Disobey by Rabbi Harold Schulweiss and The Nazi Conscience by Claudia Koonz. Handouts for other presentations will be available free of charge at the sessions.  For further information, contact Rabbi John Spitzer at jspitzer@walsh.edu
