City Announces Details for Fall Yard Waste Recycling Program

The city of North Canton has announced details on just that this week.

Here's what the city wants you to know:

  • Oct. 9-Nov. 16: When the 2012 Fall Yard Waste Recycling Program takes place.
  • What to do: All yard waste must be in paper bags. To participate, put your full paper recycling bags curbside on your regular trash pick-up day. Note: If yard waste is in plastic bags it will go to the landfill with your regular trash.
  • Acceptable items: leaves, grass clippings, small branches. No dirt, no rocks, no pet waste.
  • How to get paper bags: The City will be distributing free paper recycling bags at the , 845 W. Maple St., starting Oct. 1 through Nov. 10 while supplies last. Bags can be picked up between noon and 6 p.m. Monday through Friday and 8 a.m.-1 p.m. on Saturdays. You must present the top half of your refuse bill for pickup of paper bags. Up to 25 bags per household.
