
Kent State University at Stark Music Department presents the Almeda Trio in concert on Feb. 11 at 7:30 p.m. in Main Hall Auditorium, 6000 Frank Avenue NW. The concert is free and open to the public. No tickets are required.
The Almeda Trio, Cleveland’s Music School Settlement’s trio-in-residence, consists of Cara Tweed on violin, Ida Mercer on cello and Robert Cassidy on piano. Its members are accomplished performers, in addition to faculty members at the Music School Settlement, Aurora School of Music, Case Western Reserve University and Cleveland State University.
The ensemble’s musical scope offers insightful and energetic performances of a wide range of genres, including contemporary, folk and jazz. They have won acclaim for creating a tangible relationship with audiences through engaging on-stage commentary.
