On the Agenda: An Interim Finance Director, Route 43 Plans and More
North Canton City Council is expected to give Mayor David J. Held the authority to name V. Margaret Loretto its interim director of finance.

Tonight's City Council Committee-of-the-Whole agenda includes ordinances and presentations on topics ranging from personnel compensation and benefits to a project along Route 43. legislative meeting on the 23rd
North Canton's governing body will discuss naming V. Margaret Loretto as the city's interim director of finance. is expected to deal with a health issue for at least four weeks. Loretto's services would be secured in the meantime through a professional services agreement. She previously worked for the city for more than two decades before leaving and returning once again.
The city's Personnel and Safety Committee will present language that would define all facets of employement for the city's workers. Topics include benefits, vacation, drug testing and uniform allowances.

City Engineer James J. Benekos will bring documents related to upcoming improvements to Route 43, between 55th and Applegrove streets. The Ohio Department of Transportation and URS Corp. are designing plans for the street's widening, the installation of an additional lane in each directon and a two-way, left-turn lane from 55th to Applegrove.
Council will also hear from the city's fire department. Chief John Bacon has requested authorization to sell three difibrillators to Paris Township's department for a total of $6,000.

The meeting begins at 7 p.m. inside the of North Canton City Hall, 145 N. Main St. Council will host a legislative meeting to vote on the matters one week from tonight.
