Thief breaks into home through window
Someone busted the back window of a house in the 300 block of Viking Street NW and stole a Charlotte Hornets basketball and a wrench from inside. The theft took place between 8 p.m. and 9:37 p.m. May 27. The items totaled $35. Police collected blood as evidence at the home.

Someone broke a banner flag in the 1400 block of South Main Street between 1 p.m. Saturday and 5 p.m. Sunday. Estimated damage is $250.

A Samsung tablet, $9 cash, a fishing reel and a pack of cigars was stolen from a car in the 1400 block of Ellesmere Avenue NW between 7 p.m. May 31 and 9 a.m. June 1. Estimated loss is $382.
CDs, iPod stolen from car on Apple Street
Someone stole a carton of cigarettes, an iPod, four CDs, $3 cash and a GE camera from a car in the 1100 block of Apple Street between 8:10 p.m. May 31 and 8:10 a.m. June 1. Estimated loss is $663.
Thief cuts through roof of Jeep to steal items
Someone cut open the soft top of a Jeep in the 100 block of Applegrove Street NE and stole a GPS unit and mp3 player. The theft took place between 8 p.m. May 31 and 6:30 a.m. June 1. Estimated loss and damage is $940.
Graffiti at Dogwood Skate Park
Someone spray-painted buildings and structures at the Dogwood Skate Park, 241 7th St. NE, between 2:30 p.m. May 30 and 9:11 a.m. Saturday. Estimated damage is $400.
