Police were called out to Tuesday after hearing that a female protester was sticking her sign out in front of passing motorists, according to a call-for-service entry from .
The "Tax the 1 Percent" protest took place between 1 p.m. and 2 p.m. that day toΒ protest tax-payment disparity between corporations and citizens.

Dog may have scared off burglar
Someone broke into a home in the 1000 block of East Maple Street between 8 a.m. and 11:50 a.m. April 8. The person forced open the back door of the home, even though there was a dead bolt on it. A dog may have scared the person off, according to the report, because nothing appeared to be missing.

Pills stolen from ACME
Someone walked out of ACME without paying for $350 worth of Prilosec and Zegerid about 3:50 p.m. April 13. ACME is at 1474 N. Main St.
$2,000 in items stolen from home
Items totaling more than $2,000 were stolen from a home in the 100 block of Hillcrest Avenue NW between 9:45 a.m. and 7 p.m. April 11. Items include a gold ring, seven costume jewelry rings and a white-gold bracelet.
