Sunny Skies in North Canton, but Some Buildings Still Closed
Some North Canton buildings still need to regain power after the storm that came through Tuesday and Wednesday

The birds are chirping, the sun’s shining and some schools actually have school today?
It’s about time.
We all were getting a little tired of the gloomy, icy weather, right? And we’re going to continue to see sunny weather like this throughout the day. The National Weather service predicts a bright day with a high of 25 degrees. We’ll have a mostly clear night, too.
But the change in weather doesn’t mean there aren’t still closings and cancellations because of power outages. Check below for what we’ve got, and add your closings and cancellations in the comments section.
- is closed
- North Canton City Schools closed; the district's website says some buildings still are without power. Also from the school's website:
- All middle school sporting events and practices are canceled
- All Community Education classes are canceled
- The Spelling Bee has been rescheduled for 12:30 p.m. tomorrow (Friday)
- The * reopened at 1 p.m. today.
And check out our featured photo this morning, taken by Julie Spotts, web coordinator for Kent State University Stark Campus. Another of Spotts’ photos, along with others from North Canton, is featured , too.
