Come Back to Shaker Weekend Includes Parties
A youth dance and centennial birthday party are among the events of Come Back to Shaker weekend

Aside from fairs, tours and football, Come Back to Shaker weekend feature a few parties to celebrate 100 years of history.
The city will host a Shaker Heights Birthday Party for children from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at Horseshoe Lake. The event will include free treats, musical entertainment and an appearance from "Flower Clown."

Tickets are also still available for the Community Youth "Canteen" Dance Friday at . Students, grades 9 to 12, are encouraged to come dressed in the style of their favorite decade. The dance will feature a DJ and refreshments.
Attendees must present a student ID at the door along with a ticket and payment. Click here to purchase tickets for $5.

That night, adults will have their turn at a party from 7 p.m. to midnight Saturday at Thornton Park called "Shaker, Not Stirred!" The event includes dinner, drinks, dessert and live music, however sales have closed for this event.
