Fatal Car Accident In Heinen's Parking Lot: 73-Year-Old Dead
A 73-year-old woman was killed while walking through the Heinen's parking lot in Shaker Heights.
SHAKER HEIGHTS, OH — A 73-year-old woman died after being hit by a car in the parking lot of Heinen's on Chagrin Boulevard.
The woman was walking through the parking lot on Sunday at 4:22 p.m. when a car backed out of a handicap parking spot and hit her, police said. The car then hit several parked cars before pulling out of the lot and driving away, witnesses told police.
EMS treated the 73-year-old woman and then took her to the hospital. She died from her injuries while at University Hospitals in Cleveland on Wednesday.

Police found the 68-year-old driver of the car and took her to the hospital, as well.
Investigation into the incident is ongoing and no decision has yet been made on if criminal charges will be pursued.

On Thursday morning, the Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner identified the 73-year-old woman as Mira Donenwirth, a Shaker Heights resident.
