Free Admission to Cleveland MetroParks Zoo: Cheap Date

Check back every Friday for Cheap Date: one weekend event or activity that won't break the bank.

The weather hasn't exactly screamed "GO OUTSIDE" this month, but this weekend might be your chance to enjoy some sunshine before the cold, long, dark, snowy Cleveland winter.

The Cleveland MetroParks Zoo is offering one free admission with the purchase of a paid admisison for patrons who bring recyclables this Saturday. They'll also have exhibits and information about recycling all day.

Round up your old pots and pans, ink cartridges, cell phones and accessories and, of course, your regular old plastic and aluminum and take a trip to the zoo.

Where: 3900 Wildlife Way, Cleveland, Ohio 44109

When: Zoo is open 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.; America Recycles Day exhibits and activities take place from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Price: Tickets are buy one, get one free if you bring recyclables. Adults 12 & older $8.25; children $5.25 and kids under 2 are free.
