Jaywalking Leads to Arrest for Teen

Police say that a teen walking in the street ended up in juvenile detention after he refused to cooperate with an officer.

The teen male was seen by a Shaker Heights Police officer jaywalking. When the officer approached the boy and asked him for identification, the teen refused, and the officer moved to arrest him. The teen resisted arrest, wriggling and not complying with the officer’s orders.

He was charged with resisting arrest and obstructing justice and issued a traffic citation.
