LaunchHouse to Host Showcase for Tech Startups

Shaker LaunchHouse on Wednesday will host a showcase for the startup firms the group has been working with for the past 12 weeks.

The tech businesses participated in LaunchHouse's Accelerator Program, where they learned about concept validation, revenue models and acquiring customers. During LHX Showcase Day, the companies will present their business concepts to a group of potential investors and customers.

"For many of the LHX startups, this will be their first public pitch to investors with the aim of raising their initial round of funding," founding LaunchHouse partner Stephanie Colangelo said in an email.

The event will be hosted from 4 to 9 p.m. at Shaker LaunchHouse

The Accelerator Program provided the 10 participating firms with work space and $25,000 in seed capital from a $200,000 Ohio Third Frontier grant and a $50,000 matching grant from Cleveland-based, Clarion Direct Investment. LaunchHouse is the first and only accelerator in Northeast Ohio chosen to receive the Ohio Third Frontier Program's ONEFund grant.
