Packages Stolen from Porches and Auto Thefts: Shaker Heights Police Blotter
Car thefts, carjacking and shoplifting make the police blotter this week.

SHAKER HEIGHTS, OH — Theft dominates the police blotter this week with two cars, packages swiped off porches and shoplifting.
Shoplifting, Dec. 19 — At approximately 6:50 am, officers responded to the 7/11 BP store located in the 20000 block of Chagrin Blvd. where they detained two Cleveland residents, ages 55 and 61, who were found in possession of more than $100 worth of stolen goods.
Theft, Dec. 20 — At approximately 6:46 pm, a resident in the 18000 block of Parkland Blvd. reported that an unknown suspect(s) stole unsecured packages that were delivered to their home.

Auto Theft, Dec. 21 — At approximately 4:29 pm, Shaker Heights police officers responded to the area of Shaker Blvd. and Coventry Rd. where a University Heights resident reported being involved in a motor vehicle accident and having their vehicle stolen by the other involved party. Officers located a suspect vehicle in the City of Cleveland that was reported stolen and also had been involved in a motor vehicle accident. Officers detained the occupants, juvenile residents of the City of Cleveland, ages 15 and 16.
Carjacking, Dec. 22 — At approximately 11:09 pm, Shaker Heights police officers responded to the 16000 block of Chagrin Blvd., where a Maple Heights resident reported that two unknown male suspects displayed a handgun while demanding their motor vehicle. Shaker Heights police officers tracked, apprehended, and recovered a handgun from suspects, ages 17 and 19, in the City of Cleveland, with assistance from Cleveland police and Greater Cleveland Regional Transit Authority police.
