PHOTOS: Shaker LaunchHouse Hosts Showcase Day for Startups

Ten small tech firms showcased their talents and services Wednesday to a packed crowd at Shaker LaunchHouse.

The entrepreneurial association hosted LHX Showcase Day as a way to get startups in front of an audience full of potential investors and customers. LaunchHouse had been working with the small companies for 12 weeks in its Accelerator Program, where they learned about concept validation, revenue models and acquiring customers.

The Accelerator Program provided the 10 participating firms with work space and $25,000 in seed capital from a $200,000 Ohio Third Frontier grant and a $50,000 matching grant from Cleveland-based, Clarion Direct Investment. LaunchHouse is the first and only accelerator in Northeast Ohio chosen to receive the Ohio Third Frontier Program's ONEFund grant.
