We've been talking to people all week about a resurgence at Sussex Corners plaza. Here's a look at OPUS Restaurant.

You may have noticed a few differences in the past year at .

Aside from the arrival of a , it's not unusual to see outdoor dining or hear a snippet of a jazz performance along Chagrin Boulevard. You can thank OPUS Restaurant for that.

The eatery has been open since May 2011. Since then, its owners and 15 employees have aimed to bring upscale dining to its clientele. It seats 65 people and has a menu that ranges from "Fire Cracker" shrimp to Kobe burgers.

If you haven't given OPUS a try, here's what manager Tanya Hendricks thinks you should know.

The menu: "It's not a certain style. We have fish, we have pasta, we have steak, but it's not any type of style. It's not from any ethnicity or anything like that, it's just different cuisines. We have a great happy hour, that's for sure. Monday through Friday, 50 percent off on almost all appetizers from 5 to 7 p.m. Discounts on drinks. It's wonderful.

Why this location works: "It's a great location. It's right by a lot of stores and a lot of people see it when they drive by. If you ever drive by here between 3 and 8 p.m., you might sit (at the Chagrin-Northfield-Van Aken-Warrensville intersection) for 10 minutes. You're like, 'really?' But they all see the restaurant, so it's a great location. We've been doing really well."

What else OPUS offers: We have Jazz here every Wednesday and Sunday at 7:30 p.m. We switch up our Jazz bands. It's not loud, it's nice and quiet. Everybody will like it.

"We can cater, off premises. We can close it down for parties or weddings. We've been doing a lot of private events. We have a family reunion coming up. Those are always fun."
