Shaker Heights Library to Host Variety of Events This Week

Here's some information on a few programs scheduled for this week at the library

The Shaker Heights Library will host events this week with topics that range from Holocaust survivors to improving interview skills.

Here's some information on upcoming programs at the library.

  • Author and Holocaust survivor Betty Gold will speak to visitors about her family's survival and escape during the Nazi invasion of Trochenbrod, Poland from 1939 to 1942. The event will take place from 7 to 8:45 p.m. in Rooms E and F at the . Register here or call 216-991-2030 for more information.
  • The library is offering teens a chance to express their inner artist. From 6 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the main library's teen center, a "Graffiti Art for Teens: Light Up the Night!" will be held. An artist from the Progressive Arts Alliance will lead the event. There is a waiting list, but you can register for the event here.
  • Most people don't perform flawlessly in job interviews. To help with preparation, the library is hosting an Improving Interview Skills workshop from 10 a.m. to noon Thursday in Room E at the main library. The Career Transition Center will be the presenter. There are still openings, so click here to register.
