Shaker Heights Schools Superintendent Search On Track

The search for the next Shaker Heights Schools superintendent is proceeding on schedule, the district reports.

Mark Freeman announced last year that he will step down as Shaker Schools superintendent at the end of this school year. The district hired a firm to conduct the search last year, and released a profile of the ideal candidate last month.

Now Hazard, Young, Attea and Associates is reviewing applications and recruiting candidates for the position. They expect to narrow the search down to three candidates, then interview them and invite the public to meet them in mid-March.

A new superintendent should be in place by May, the district predicts.
