Shirtless Man Makes Threats & Weird Walgreens Thefts: Shaker Heights Police Blotter

Disturbance leads to obstruction: Police arrested a 23-year-old woman in her Normandy Road home following a disturbance on Aug. 21.
Officers responded to a disturbance report of a female screaming around 12:16 a.m. Police found her arguing with the father of her children upon arrival. Police Lt. Jeff DeMuth said officers attempted to check on the welfare of the children on the second floor, but the mother stood in the way, preventing entry.
She was arrested for obstructing official business. She was later released.
Shirtless threats: Police arrested a shirtless 21-year-old Cleveland man that same day for threatening people outside of on Van Aken Boulevard.
Two males admitted to being in a verbal altercation, but officers didn't know who made threats until a witness pointed him out. Police arrested him for disorderly conduct.
Toothbrush and dog food thefts: Two unrelated but similarly bizarre shoplifting incidents were reported Aug. 21 at the location on Chargrin Boulevard.
First, police arrested a 56-year-old Shaker woman for stealing six $1 cans of dog food, DeMuth said.
Police then arrested a man at 4:58 p.m. for stealing Oral-B and Colgate toothbrushes from the store. Officers found him running down Chelton Road. Once they brought him back to the store, Walgreens workers identified him and he was placed under arrest. The toothbrushes were about $6.79 apiece, DeMuth said.
