Simply Delicious Pies Sells Over 500 Pies During Flash Cashers Event
Local shop reports that sales were comparable to the shop's first Thanksgiving
Simply Delicious Pies got a visit from a mob last week — but not the scary kind.
The Flash Cashers of Shaker Heights visited the store May 21.
The store reports that they sold over 500 pies — including more than 100 pre-orders — in the three hours that the cash mob patroned the store. This is as much as the store's first Thanksgiving, they report.
The Flash Cashers choose a local business periodically to "mob" with cash. With about a day's notice, participants visit the store during a specified time and spend a little money, which, in addition to giving the business a boost for the day, the group hopes will raise awareness of the local businesses Shaker Heights offers.
