WATCH: Shaker Posts 'Vision Video' on YouTube
The one-minute video features residents walking through a colorful, paper-construction version of Shaker
As part of its ongoing Work/Live initiative, the City of Shaker Heights has created a "Vision Video" in hopes of attracting clicks from potential residents and business owners.
Filmed at Shaker LaunchHouse, the one-minute video features actual Shaker residents walking through a paper-constructed version of their city. The walkability and retail displayed in the futuristic version of Shaker was meant to demonstrate what officials envision the city becoming.
“This is a time to live, work and own a business in Shaker Heights,” Shaker Heights Economic Development Director Tania Menesse said in a statement announcing the video. “Our City is distinct in the way we have tapped into assets that are uniquely Shaker, that is, a deeply committed and talented residential population with a strong sense of place — to create a thriving entrepreneurial environment.
