15-Year-Old Boy Drives Car Through Lawn While Fleeing Police
A Solon boy leads police on short chase through Liberty Hills area

While on patrol in the Liberty Hills area on March 29, Solon police saw a black car following a silver car too closely. When police began to follow the cars, the black car turned abruptly, without a signal onto Hamilton Court at a high rate of speed. The silver car turned off the other direction.
Police followed the black car down Hamilton Court and when the officer turned on his lights and sirens, the driver fled the area and almost hit several parked cars on the road. The car then jumped the curb, side-swiped two pine trees, came back toward the road, jumped another curb and then got stuck between two garages, police said.
The officer demanded the driver out of the car at gunpoint and learned that it was a 15-year-old Solon boy and his passenger was a 16-year-old Hudson boy. The two boys were released to parents at the scene and the car was towed, police said.Β
