Solon Early Childhood PTA Presents Kindergarten Secrets

Solon’s Early Childhood PTA’s (SECPTA) wants to help your child get ahead.Β 

At the group’s January meeting on Tuesday, January 24th at 7:00pm at the (35000 Portz Parkway), a representative from the Ohio PTA will reveal Kindergarten secrets.Β

  • Is your child ready for kindergarten?
  • Activities to help your child prepare for kindergarten
  • Checklists used by area schools to determine kindergarten readiness
  • Ohio’s Early Learning Content Standards
  • How to find the right preschool for your child

The meeting is open to members and non-members.Β Β  Doors open at 6:30pm for field trip and activity sign- ups.Β Β  β€œWe hope all area parents of preschoolers can join us for this important night of information,” says SECPTA President Jacquelyn Frederick.Β  β€œIt’s never too early to start getting ready for school.”  Frederick also reminds parents that β€œMembers do not have to live in Solonβ€”many SECPTA members join us from Twinsburg, Chagrin Falls, Reminderville, Aurora and other communities.” 

SECPTA is a unit of the Parent Teacher Association (PTA), organized for the parents of preschool age children (birth–5), regardless of what school the child will attend. We always welcome new members from Solon and the surrounding communities. If you are the parent of a preschool age child or infant, we have something for you. The purpose of our organization is to help parents of preschool age children better understand their children via qualified resources, educational programs, the sharing of experiences, and social activities.
