She said the bear was clearly "hanging out" on their farm when they got home from a camping trip on Sunday.
She's glad he didn't get into her chicken coop during his visit.

"He must not have tried too much, because he totally could have if he wanted to," Collingwood said.
---------------
The famous "" spent the weekend at a small Solon farm on Brainard Road, trying to break into the chicken coop, demolishing corn and generally making a mess of things.
In a blog post on the small farm's website, Linde Collingwood reported that she had been away camping last weekend and returned to find evidence of bear intrusion.
When we pulled in the driveway, we knew something was amiss. The garbage was tipped over. On closer review, there were rocks pulled away from the base of our chicken coop, and tears in the fence! Luckily, all the chickens are accounted for. Itβs obvious Mr. Bear gave the coop a decent workinβ-over before giving up. Lucky chickens. (Maybe theyβll start giving me some eggs?!)
The bear also smashed some corn crops, tipped over the garbage and got into other mischief.
The Collingwoods also saw the bear with their own eyes, snapping pictures of it and posting it on their site. Head over there to read all about it and check out the pictures.
Remember, if you see a bear, and make sure your children and pets are safe. Call the police so they can track its whereabouts.
