Blotter Roundup: Weaving Driver & 'Crazy' Boyfriend

The following information was provided by the Solon Police Department

He's acting crazy: Solon officers responded to a Cannon Road home at 12:14 a.m. Wednesday after a woman reported that her live-in boyfriend was drunk and "acting crazy."

Andrew J. Paul, 50, of Solon allegedly threw his girlfriend to the ground and threatened her. He was arrested for domestic violence and held without bond. He also faces drug paraphernalia charges.

Weaving woman: arrested a Willoughby woman on June 2 for drunken driving after officers saw veering wildly on U.S. 422.

Carol J. Wyand, 54, weaved into a lane approaching the Harper Road exit. She suddenly weaved back into the right lane, continuing eastbound with her signal on, occasionally drifting onto the berm.

When police pulled her over near the Route 91 exit, her breath test showed a blood alcohol content level of .215, nearly three times the legal limit.

Joyriding teenager: A 40-year-old Forest Glenn Avenue woman called police on May 31 to report that her 17-year-old son took her car without permission.

The woman wasn't positive, but believed her son had taken the vehicle to Macedonia. About two hours later, the teenager returned. Solon Police said he has been referred to a juvenile officer.

Case of the missing rings: A Wickliffe woman who works at on Aurora Road reported two rings missing from her workplace on May 25.

She had misplaced her wallet, which contained the rings. They were gone when she found her walled. The are valued at $1,250.

Solon Police referred the case to the detective's bureau.
