Curious Criminal Activity Caught On Film In Solon

Police are asking the public for help finding a man who tampered with a video camera and stole a lawn chair.

SOLON, OH — Solon residents are asked to secure their homes after strange criminal activity was captured on video on Monday morning.

At 2:22 a.m., a man was spotted standing on a chair, tampering with a video recorder on a house on Creekside Trail. The man then stole the chair he was standing on and dropped it in a neighbor's yard.

No other criminal activity was reported in the area that night, according to Lt. William Vajdich of Solon police.

"We ask residents to continue to practice basic crime prevention practices by securing homes and vehicles at night, leaving security lights on, paying attention to the alerts from your video surveillance systems, and calling the police to report suspicious behavior when it happens…. Just like this case," Vajdich said.
