Solon High School students play dodgeball against teachers to raise money to fight Lou Gehrig's Disease

The annual Solon High School dodgeball tournament is about more than smacking classmates and teachers with rubber balls.

It's for a good cause too. Students bought tickets to raise money to fight ALS, otherwise known as Lou Gehrig's Disease.

Wednesday's charity game raised money for the Dave Yates Foundation. Yates was a popular teacher at the high school who died of ALS about 11 years ago.Β
