Fire Erupts On Garbage Truck In Solon, No One Hurt [Photos]
Police and fire crews blocked part of Aurora Road on Tuesday after a garbage truck caught fire.
SOLON, OH — A garbage truck caught fire while driving on Aurora Road on Tuesday morning.
The fire started near Liberty Road. Police helped to block the road from approximately 6 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., according to Lt. Bill Vajdich of Solon police.
No one was hurt during the blaze and no other vehicles were involved in the fire. However, the truck suffered "obvious damage," Vajdich said.

"There was a risk of a bigger fire or explosion from the natural gas tanks which store the fuel the vehicle, so three homes were evacuated in the immediate area. Thankfully the fire was contained to the truck," he added.
