Each week, we'll give you the info on the five best family activities or events for the week.

You're time-pressed enough, so we're happy to do the research and find the best things to do and places to go, both locally and within reasonable striking distance.

Look for the kids’ planner each Wednesday, and help us build the planner with your own suggestions and tips — just add them to the comment box. Even if you disagree with our picks, let us know. We want to hear from you.

Toddler/Preschool Storytime

Where/When: Solon Library, Feb. 10, 10:30 a.m. (Toddler) and 1:30 p.m. (preschool)
Why Go: It's a great chance to have fun with your kid, including reading, crafts, singing, fingerplays and stories.

Meet the Author:

Where/When: Barnes and Noble in Woodmere, Feb. 10, 11 a.m.
Why Go: Donna Scott-Nusrala, the author, will read her book at storytime. Have you ever wondered how to get rid of the monster under your bed? Love. Love will conquer that misunderstood monster.

Where/When: , Feb. 12, 2 p.m.
Why Go: Kids aged 4-8 are invited to join in for a PINKALICIOUS celebration! Pinkalicious is a story about a little girl who can't stop eating cupcakes, even though her parents try to warn her.

Where/When: Cuyahoga County Public Library, 22035 Clarkwood Pky, Cleveland, OH 44128, Feb. 14 3:30 p.m.
Why Go: Kids aged 12-18 are invited to the library for a challenge of epic proportions. This is a great way to celebrate Valentine's Day by showing off your decorating skills with provided cupcakes and toppings.

Why Go: All kids are welcome in for some early morning songs and stories, as well as gentle, fun movement. Of course, children must be accompanied by a parent or caregiver.
