In Memory of Dave: The Yates 5K Race is Sunday

The Yates 5K, an annual race to support ALS patients held in memory of a late Solon teacher, is schedule for Sunday.

The Yates 5K, an annual race to support ALS patients held in memory of a late Solon teacher, is schedule for Sunday.

The 14th annual race is set for . The 3.1-mile run or walk begins at 8:30 a.m. and the children's race (which is free) begins at 9:20 a.m.

It's $20 to pre-register and $25 on the day of the race. Register online at www.hermescleveland.com.

The Yates 5K is held in memory of Solon High teacher, Dave Yates, who died of ALS, otherwise known as Lou Gehrig’s Disease, in 2000.Β Β  Funds support patients in Northeast Ohio with ALS.Β
