Neptune Lake Subdivision Public Hearing, New Giant Eagle and More: Council Roundup

Solon City Council met Monday night in to discuss the public's business.

Among the actions council took:

Public Hearing Set For New Development: The proposed subdivision at Neptune Drive and Miles Road was introduced before city council. Council did not take any action on the plan but set a public hearing for the project in early September.

The project is proposed by developer Randy Kertesz. He plans a 13-home subdivision to be built on a 22-acre lot on the southwest corner of the intersection. The property includes two ponds known as Neptune Lake.

Variances for New Market District Giant Eagle: The new Giant Eagle at Solon Village will be a high-end Market District store, and developer Echo Solon LLC needed some variances to alter the plans. City Council approved the changes Monday.

Fraud Policy Re-Introduced: City officials have been hard at work for months on Solon's first-ever fraud policy, which will establish a formal procedures for dealing with fraud allegations. An earlier draft of the policy was introduced previously, but its been going through editing and changes. The revised policy was introduced Monday and was not yet voted on to give residents a chance to see the policy.
