Six People Apply For Solon School Board Vacancy

Six Solon residents applied for a vacancy on the .

The applicants, which will be considered to fill on the five-member board, range from those who have held public office before to those looking to serve for the first time.

The applicants are:

• John N. Heckman: Accountant, parent of Solon students,
• Bruce S. Rutsky: Attorney and judge, parent of Solon students
• Richard C. Perry: Insurance agent, parent of Solon students, ran for Solon School Board before
• Robert A. Paulson: Former mayor of Solon,
• Amy Sonia Richards: Parent of Solon students
  
• Scott H. Schooler: Attorney, worked for other school districts

The school board will meet in executive session on May 14 and May 15 to interview the applicants. The board haven't set a date yet on when they will vote to make an appointment.
