Police Cruiser Struck During Traffic Stop In Solon
While a Solon police officer spoke with the driver of a stopped car, another vehicle hit the officer's parked cruiser.
SOLON, OH — A police cruiser was hit on U.S. 422 on Friday night, Solon police announced.
A patrol officer stopped a car near SOM Center Road at 9:20 p.m. As the officer spoke to the driver of the stopped car, a white Chevy Equinox slammed into the officer's cruiser, News 5 reported.
The cruiser's red-and-white emergency lights were flashing prior to the crash, police added.

Luckily, no one was hurt during the traffic stop and crash, Cleveland 19 reported.
After the cruiser was hit, the driver of the Equinox was pulled over and identified as a 31-year-old from Chagrin Falls. They were cited for improper operation while approaching a stationary public safety vehicle, a misdemeanor.
