Repairs Coming to Solon Streets

We all know it's construction season, right? You can't go anywhere without sneaking up on a couple (or million) orange barrels.

Well, those repairs are coming to Solon this summer. At last Monday's council meeting, council accepted bids from Carron Asphalt for repairs totaling $294,460. The city's engineer estimated the project would cost somewhere around $400,000.

Carron has worked in the city before and upon checking references with other Carron clients, the reviews were still favorable.

Here are the streets that will see some work later this year:

- Ledgebrook Lane

- School Drive, off Inwood

- Delray Avenue from Miles Road to Woodall Road

- Miscellaneous patches on Michael and Joseph drives

- One portion of Aurora Road

- SOM Center Road, north of U.S. 422

- Brushwood Drive

- Miscellaneous patches on Thornbury

- Two patches on Liberty Road, and

- Beaver Meadow
