See Solon Fire Hydrant Flushing Schedule

The will begin its annual fire hydrant flushing program today. 

Go to the city website for regularly updated schedule of the hydrants to be flushed.

Here's the streets up for flushing on Thursday and Friday. Schedule is subject to change, so check the city website too.

MAY 10:

Station 1:  Canon Rd.; Allenbury; Banbury; Clarendon; Tayport

Station 2:  Aurora Rd. (Starting at West City Limits); Arbordale; Brookland; Copely; Duneden; Edgemoor; Forest Glen; Glennallen

Station 3:  Liberty Rd.; Blue Heron; Canterbury; Claythorne; Summerset

MAY 11

Station 1:  Harper Rd.; Old Harper Rd.; Emerald Ridge; Valley Lane; richmond Rd.; Hemmington; Berrington; North Park; Leighton; Stonebridge

Station 2:  Flanders; Cummings; Kerrington; Hyllwind; Winston; McDowell; Brandamore; Creekside; Limberlost; Windy Hill; Windy Willow; Laura; Suzanne 

Station 3:  Portage; Geauga; Edith; Willow; Flanders; Andre Ln.; Highland; Elmwood; Ayleshire; Ridgecliff; WoodlandsS3 - Pettibone Road, Rollingbrook

The flushing process will take one to two months depending on emergency call activity.     

Remember: The process may cause your tap water to become discolored or cloudy. Clear up the water by running cold water until its clear.

"It's important for the Fire Department to check the hydrants for proper operation and water pressure on a regular basis," said Fire Chief William Shaw.  "If a hydrant is found to be not working, it is marked and reported to Cleveland Water Department for repairs."
