Severe Weather Heading Toward Solon; Tornado Watch Issued

The National Weather Service has placed Solon under a tornado watch until 10 p.m. tonight.

Cuyahoga County is also under a flash flood warning and flood warning

Thunderstorms moving into the area from the west could bring strong winds, hail and very heavy rainfall, the NWS warns. Already, baseball-size hail has been reported in western counties such as Erie, Huron and Lorain.

As the threat intensifies, this watch may be upgraded to a warning, NWS says. It warns residents to stay vigilant for severe weather.
